Johor Corporation Waqf Evolution
Waqaf An-Nur is a company limited by guarantee without shares and has been appointed as the Special Nazir by the Johor State Islamic Council, initially to manage the assets or shares that have been waqf by Johor Corporation. Waqaf An-Nur, which operates based on the maqasid syariah, is now more inclusive by opening opportunities for the public to waqf through the programs offered.

Approval of the Council Member of the Majma' Al-buhuth Al-islamiyah Meeting
"Indeed, part of the schools of Islamic Fiqh, such as the Maliki school, and some contemporary scholars who have expertise in the field of Islamic Shariah have leaned towards the opinion that ALLOWING WAQF ON THE SHARES OF COMPANIES that have been and are being invested is permissible, with the condition that the shares and the profits spent must comply with the conditions set by the waqif as explained in the agreed waqf formulation."
