Waqaf An-Nur remains committed to fulfilling its responsibilities to help improve the economy of the community and has launched the Community Agricultural Waqf program located at Block 12, RSK Taman Cendana II, Johor Bahru. This program started in early August 2023 with collaboration from the resident community in Taman Cendana in phases with the objective of enhancing knowledge and skills of the community in the agricultural field, especially urban farming that is easy to use, technologically advanced, clean, and safe to use.

The Community Agricultural Waqf program is also one of the initiatives of the Fishing Line Waqf introduced by Waqaf An-Nur to help improve the local economy. Initially, 30 selected participants will take part in this program. The duration of the Agricultural Waqf program is 12 months and involves 4 phases where each phase will include the transfer of knowledge related to basic planting, crop management and care modules, garden landscaping, and product value addition.

So far, all 4 phases covering Planter Boxes, NFT, Fertigation Crops, Mushrooms, and Fish Farming have been implemented within 6 months, and within 5 months, nearly RM12 thousand of Group Savings Fund has been generated through the production of vegetable crops and product sales.
